This is a process called mortencage. Basically, you place finished prints into a tray of potentially deadly chemicals and wait for it to dissolve. I put about ten prints through the process, and this one came out the best.

In 2008, I spent a few months studying abroad in Europe. I shot thousands of photos, but this was always one of my favorites.

Stian

Stian "Scuba" Myras was my freshman year roomate. He is a Rubiks Cube Master who has created his own set of moves to solve the puzzle. He leaves for Iraq in two days and I wish him the best.

This is my dog, Cusco. Her absolute favorite activity is playing with sticks.

Old deck in the ditch

I have kept every skateboard I have ever ridden and attached them to the trees lining the irrigation ditch at my parents house. I have been photographing in the ditch for five years, and until recently I had never photographed it while it was full.
