My Dogs

Most of the photos I shoot back home are of my dogs, which are fairly photogenic if I do say so myself.

Hidden Bank

Last week, my friend Mario called me up and asked if I wanted to shoot some photos. I told him that I was down as long as we skated some stuff in his neighborhood, which I had never been to. It was refreshing to skate a new and unique spot.

Highland Park Miniramp

Spent my Wednesday skating around Highland Park, first at the Garvanza skatepark, then this Miniramp, which Race knew about. We skated, drank beer, and BBQ'd for a few hours. It made for a good Wednesday!

Maurice

Hollywood High is known for the 12 and the 16... but it also has a 5. Maurice Jordan warms up with a lil smith on the famous rails little brother.

Recent skate stuff

Been skating a ton lately. Here are a few from last weekend.

Who better to skate your first backyard pool with than Salba?

Race Nagel, Frontside 180, North Hollywood

Shooting skate photos at night is always a fun time. I like being able to freeze the action while still using a long exposure to experiment with ambient lights in the background.

Cody Taylor

I was lurking through my hard drive and came across this photo of Cody Taylor from September 2011. I always liked this photo, and just now realized that it has never seen the light of day.

Dagger Ditch

Last week I skated Dagger Ditch, the famous banks of concrete from the Hollywood skate movie, Thrashin. Unfortunately, we were unable to do any skate duels with a rival gang, but we did get a few hours underneath the warm sun.

Here is the scene from Thrashin

Anders eyed up the beast, and walked away with a few clips.

Apparently this guy "used to skate"

Classical form. His girl told him that "maybe this isn't such a good idea", but he rolled away unharmed.

Aaron knows his way around a camera, and shot my kickflip fakie.

Maurice

Went skating with this dude while he was filming for Cant Skate Here. He kickflip noseslid this wooden rail in four attempts, walked back up the stairs, and heelflip noseslid it a few tries later. The kids these days...

Adam Kirschhoffer

Adam and I terrorized the streets of L.A. on our skateboards this past weekend.

More from Channel Street, San Pedro

Race airs the middle of the 3 bowls at Channel Street.

Master lensman Anders Nordlow

Even though I cut his arm off, and left my flash in the shot, I really like how this turned out.

Riley Stevens

Met this dude today in San Pedro, at the Channel Street skatepark. He did this stalefish about ten times in a row while I tried to find the best angle.

Night Hydrant

Last night I took my camera on a walk around my new neighborhood.
